ভূমিকা — "আমার তো কোনো experience-ই নেই" — সত্যিই কি?
Series-এর আগের পর্বগুলোতে আমরা শিখেছি — Resume আর CV-র পার্থক্য, এবং resume-এর section structure। কিন্তু এখন আপনি ভাবছেন:
"আমি তো এই মাত্র graduate করেছি। কোনো full-time job-এ কাজ করিনি। তাহলে resume-এ কী লিখব?"
এই ভয়টা প্রায় সব fresh graduate-এর মনে আসে। কিন্তু এক সত্যি কথা বলি: "experience" মানে শুধু paid job নয়। আপনি গত ৩-৪ বছরে যা করেছেন — academic projects, internship, group work, club, volunteer activities, part-time work, even self-learning — সবই valuable experience, যদি সঠিকভাবে present করতে পারেন।

প্রথমে Mindset-টা বদলান
Resume লেখার সময় অনেক fresh graduate ভাবেন: "আমার নেই, আমি অভিজ্ঞ না, আমি qualified না।" কিন্তু recruiter বা hiring manager যা চান, তা হলো:
- আপনি কি শিখতে পারেন?
- আপনি কি responsibility নিতে পারেন?
- আপনি কি team-এ কাজ করতে পারেন?
- আপনি কি problem solve করতে পারেন?
এই প্রশ্নগুলোর উত্তর আপনি আপনার student life থেকে দিতে পারেন — শুধু paid job থাকতে হবে এমন কোনো rule নেই।

একজন junior developer যিনি ৩টা real GitHub project দেখাতে পারেন, একজন junior যার শুধু "MERN Stack expert" লেখা resume — দুজনের মধ্যে কাকে interview-এ ডাকা হবে? উত্তর সহজ। Specific, real, verifiable evidence সবসময় vague claim-এর চেয়ে শক্তিশালী।
কী COUNT হিসেবে "Experience"?
নিচের সবগুলোই resume-এ valid content হতে পারে — যদি honestly এবং thoughtfully describe করতে পারেন:
- Academic Projects — semester projects, thesis, lab work
- Internships — paid, unpaid, virtual, short-term সবই
- Capstone Project — final year project
- Coursework — specific challenging courses, group projects
- Personal Projects — self-initiated, GitHub-এ আছে
- Club Activities — student club, professional society, robotics club
- Volunteer Work — NGO, blood donation, awareness campaign
- Part-time Work — tuition, freelance, family business
- Leadership Roles — class representative, event organizer, club president
- Online Courses & Self-Learning — Coursera, edX, YouTube curriculum

১. Academic Projects — আপনার সবচেয়ে বড় asset
🎓 Semester / Course Projects
Academic projects fresh graduates-এর resume-র সবচেয়ে শক্তিশালী section হতে পারে — কারণ এটাই দেখায় আপনি actually কী build করতে পারেন।
কী include করবেন
- Project title
- Course / Context (e.g., "CSE 460 — Software Engineering project")
- ২-৩ লাইন description — কী build করেছেন, কেন
- আপনার role (যদি team project হয়)
- Tech / tools used
- Link — GitHub, live demo, or report (থাকলে)

২. Internships — যেকোনো সময়ের, যেকোনো ধরনের
💼 Internship — Paid বা Unpaid
Even ১-২ মাসের একটা internship resume-এ valuable। Especially যদি আপনি real client work, real codebase, বা real business problem-এ touch করেছেন।
কী include করবেন
- Internship title
- Company / Organization
- Duration (e.g., "Jun 2023 – Aug 2023")
- ২-৪টি bullets — কী করেছেন, কী শিখেছেন, কী contribute করেছেন

⚠️ Honesty Rule
Internship-এ আপনি যা actually করেছেন সেটাই লিখুন। "Led a team of 10 developers" — internship-এ এটা সাধারণত হয় না। ছোট কাজ honestly বলার চেয়ে বড় কাজ মিথ্যা বলা onboarding-এর প্রথম সপ্তাহে ধরা পড়ে।
৩. Capstone / Final Year Project
🎯 Capstone — Your Showcase Piece
Capstone বা final year project অনেক সময় সবচেয়ে substantial work — কারণ এটা ৬-১২ মাস ধরে চলে। এটাকে resume-এ আলাদা section হিসেবে treat করুন।
কী include করবেন
- Project title এবং problem statement
- আপনার specific contribution
- Methodology, tech, tools
- Outcome — কী delivered হয়েছে
- Advisor / supervisor name (academic CV-তে useful)
- Publication / presentation, যদি থাকে
Final-year capstone project (Sep 2023 – May 2024)

📌 Note on numbers
উপরের sample-এ "89% test accuracy" এবং "12,000 headlines" — এগুলো real project metrics হলেই include করবেন। যদি আপনি accurately remember না করেন বা data পাল্টে গেছে — concrete numbers বাদ দিয়ে scope বলুন ("a curated dataset of thousands of headlines")। Fake numbers কখনো লিখবেন না।
৪. Personal Projects — Self-Initiated কাজ
🛠 Personal Projects — Class-এর বাইরে কী করেছেন
Personal projects দেখায় আপনি curious এবং self-driven। Tech roles-এর জন্য especially valuable। ২-৩টা substantial personal projects একটা মাঝারি GPA-কেও ছাপিয়ে যেতে পারে।
একটি ভালো personal project কী?
- Real problem solve করে (এমনকি ছোট হলেও)
- End-to-end built (just frontend mockup নয়)
- Deployed / live (GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify, ইত্যাদি)
- Clean README আছে — কেন বানিয়েছেন, কী করে
- আপনি এটা সম্পর্কে interview-এ কথা বলতে পারবেন
💡 Resume-এ Personal Project section আলাদা রাখার সুবিধা
"Projects" section-এ academic এবং personal — দুটোই mix করতে পারেন, কিন্তু সবসময় label করুন কোনটা academic, কোনটা personal। Recruiter দু'টার মধ্যে পার্থক্য বুঝতে পারবেন।
৫. Coursework — Relevant Course Highlight
Education section-এ আপনি যেসব challenging বা relevant courses করেছেন সেগুলো mention করতে পারেন — especially যদি job posting-এ specific skills mentioned আছে।
⚠️ Tip
সব courses list করবেন না — শুধু job-related ones। যদি data analyst role-এ apply করছেন, তাহলে "Statistics", "Database", "Data Mining" highlight করুন; "Mechanical Engineering" or unrelated electives skip করুন।
৬. Club Activities এবং Student Organizations
🤝 Student Clubs — Teamwork-এর Proof
Robotics Club, Debate Society, Programming Club, CSE Society, IEEE Student Branch — এসব activities দেখায় আপনি team-এ কাজ করতে জানেন এবং classroom-এর বাইরে involve হতে পারেন।

🔒 Sensitive Cause Volunteering — Be Mindful
কিছু cause (যেমন specific political party, religious activism) include করলে কিছু employer biased হতে পারে। Apply করার আগে think করুন — relevant হলে include করুন, অপ্রয়োজনে politically sensitive cause emphasize না করাই safer।
৮. Part-Time Work — যা-ই হোক, count হয়

Tuition দিয়েছেন? Family business-এ সাহায্য করেছেন? Cafe-তে part-time কাজ করেছেন? Freelance graphic design করেছেন? এগুলো সব valid resume content — যদি সঠিকভাবে present করেন।

⚠️ Honesty Tip
"Completed", "in progress", "audited" — clearly mention করুন। যদি certification "expired" হয় বা আপনি "auditor" ছিলেন, সেটা note করুন — overstate করবেন না।

Participation-এ honor, ভালো ranking হলে highlight, win হলে আরো prominently mention। Even participation দেখায় আপনি hands-on।

Common Mistakes
- "Resume" empty দেখে hopeless feel করা। Reality: আপনার projects, courses, club activities সবই legitimate experience।
- একই project-কে বিভিন্ন naming দিয়ে multiple times mention করা। Distinct projects-ই include করুন।
- Project description-এ technology stack বাদ দেওয়া। Recruiter এই info-টা first scan-এ খোঁজেন।
- GitHub link না দেওয়া (যদি থাকে)। Tech roles-এ this is critical.
- HSC এবং SSC-র full grade history include করা। Most international resumes-এ এটা দরকার নেই।
- Internship-এ "Wrote code" এর মতো generic line। Specific কী করেছেন বলুন।
- Personal projects-এ "Pet project" বা "Just for fun" written করা। Just describe what it does and why you built it.
- Soft skills overstate করা। "Excellent communicator, natural leader" — show through bullet points, claim করবেন না।
